4. Oh, The Weather

So, there’s some misconception about the Seattle weather. Seattle isn’t called The Emerald City for nothing. Know that it definitely rains here, but it doesn’t pour. The constant rain is why so many Douglas Fir trees grow in the area. These giant trees surround the region and creates an amazing scenery to get lost in. Seeing the trees change color over the season is definitely a sight to behold. The summers start in early July and last until September with sunny skies and 70-degree temperatures. You’ll find plenty of outdoor activities no matter if you’re an outdoor enthusiast or not.

In the winter, you’ll find overcast skies, and you’ll notice it gets dark a little before 5 P.M. This could be a shock at first, but it’s definitely a pleasure over time.

5. The Evolution of Transportation

Seattle is a big city, and those who come from big cities know that owning a car probably isn’t the best option. Seattle has a vast number of transportation options depending on where you want to go.
